The 2nd Brisbane VR Club meetup for 2017 is here! On every last Tuesday night of every month a group of developers and enthusiasts gather at a specified location in Brisbane to peak into the future of immersive technologies (VR/AR/360 Video).
We have a couple of local developers who launched one of the most creative virtual reality apps out (partnering with an icon and an industry leader along the way), launching the worlds first multiplayer VR spray painting experience!
LOCATION: BRISBANE POWERHOUSE – Free parking on site.
TIME: 28th of February, 6:00 to 8:00pm
TOPIC: KingSpray – Translating Reality
Nolan and Craig, as part of the team behind the KingSpray spray painting simulator game, have grappled with the challenges of making virtual reality more intuitive and visceral. This presentation aims to cover what they learned and how it applies to art and interaction within virtual spaces. Learn more about the 4 hurdles they encountered during development (User Interfaces, Fidelity, Immersion and Testing) and try out your skills as a virtual spray painting artist!
NOTE: If you have any VR/AR projects we have HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and GearVR hardware, and are more than happy to setup and demo what you are working on for the meetup attendees to experience. This is a great way to do user testing/feedback. Contact us if interested!
