If you are fond of sports, then there are many useful sports apps in the App Store. Whether you just follow the sports news in general, are handball crazy, fan of a particular football team, or something completely fourth, check out these 3 Danish sports apps.
There are unimaginably many ways to keep say updated on the latest sports news today. One of the ways could be to download an actual sports app that excels by providing general sports updates, results, livescore etc.
But of course there are also apps for those who have a more passionate relationship with a particular club or sport. By Danish standards it is usually Football. Therefore, we have looked at a selection of the Danish offers within the category sports app.

Limited selection of Danish sports apps
The most striking thing is that it is not yet so pronounced that there are apps for the more marginalized sports or /-clubs in Denmark. In addition, the market is simply too small and the money too small.
Therefore, we have not been able to find Danish apps in sports such as basketball, tennis, ice hockey, swimming, cycling etc. So if you want the slightly larger perspective and well-executed sports apps you have to look for the foreign ones. Here, on the other hand, there are ample opportunities for finding well – designed club and sports apps.
The 3 Danish sports apps
1. TV2 handball: Playmaker-guess with during the World Cup
It has become quite common to download apps for major international sporting events, like the big Grand Slam tennis tournaments, Champions League, World Cup / European football, Olympics etc.
In January, TV2 handball will also participate in the men’s Handball World Cup. That’s why they sent a World Cup app on the street: Playmaker.
Playmaker is is set up as a game where you can bet on the men’s team’s matches during the World Cup. Of course, it’s linked up on Facebook so you can send challenges to your friends.
In all its simplicity, it is about getting the most points – and thus the opportunity to win prizes-if you are the best and fastest to predict the development of the World Cup matches.
Here at the editorial we think the idea is fun thought: it increases the tension during the matches and then it is always very entertaining to have a competition running with the closest friends.
The big problem is just that the crasher all, too often and fail at log in. Therefore, unfortunately, it can not get a recommendation from here and with a look at the reviews of other users, we are certainly not the only ones who experience recurring errors.
2. TV2 Sports Centre:
TV 2 Sport also has their own General app. In it you can follow the latest sports news, watch video clips of selected news, updates on live positions: both overall or you can select a specific sport that you are more interested in. In addition, TV 2 Sport collaborates with Danske Spil’s Oddset department, so you can get an idea of which matches are the most played on-or directly download Oddset’s own app.
TV2 prides itself on the fact that you can keep up with 330 leagues all over the world and just the time we spent looking around the app shows that it’s not entirely wrong. I think the navigation is easy and fast and I have not come across anything I could not find.
If the general settings are not enough, you can ask for alerts within selected sports and favorite teams. All in all, a really good app if you are sports interested. It should be added that the users are a little more divided in their assessments, as not everyone experiences, for example, that the live results work optimally. I tested it a lot and experienced no problems.
3. bold.dk:
The football dedicated side Bold.dk was one of the very first websites from the internet’s infancy that has managed to survive – even with a very persistent content and design. Therefore, they are of course also on the app wave and their app has been on the street for a while.
It gives you what you want: football sports news, live scores, results and fixtures in a simple design. In addition, you can request to receive notifications about selected clubs under my ball.
I searched on ‘FCK’, knowing that incredibly many clubs naturally begin with FC. Nevertheless, I had imagined that the app’s search filters would be more geared to the Danish market, so FCK – as in FC Copenhagen – would appear at the top. But I had to scroll far down the page before I was presented with the opportunity to follow them. It can be done better. Otherwise a fine relevant football app.
Other Danish Football Club apps
In addition to the reviewed apps, we also found apps from a selection of the Danish Super League clubs: most implemented were the 3 apps from FCK, Brøndby and AGF, but if you are a fan is Esbjerg, Randers FC, and AC Horsens, you can also follow the app level. Plus an unofficial app for FC Midtjylland.
