The Finnish independent studio has just published this space action game for one or several players, in deathmatch or cooperative mode, for the two great virtual reality ecosystems on PC.
The action of Downward Spiral is inspired by the science fiction series of the 70s but with the structure of today’s television. According to Kari Koivistoinen, CEO of 3rd Eye Studios, “Downward Spiral: Prologue is structured like a moderna TV series. It is the beginning of a space adventure whose mystery will be revealed as we publish more episodes. Our team of award-winning industry veterans have built Downward Spiral: Prologue from the ground up to create a zero-gravity experience unlike any other that allows players to move freely in an VR environment without getting dizzy.”
The game includes a campaign mode that we can play alone or accompanied by another player, in addition to deathmatch confrontations for up to 8 players. The motion controllers will help us to move around the environment in gravity 0, collect and use objects and, of course, use all kinds of weapons against our enemies. We will be able to experience it sitting, standing or at room scale, and it is on sale on Steam and Oculus Home for a price of € 8.99.
