Artificial intelligence challenges X-ray vision by making it possible to see through walls not only a matter of science fiction

After a decade of work, what seemed impossible is now real thanks to the project christened as RF-Pose.
RF-Pose, the project that surpasses science fiction
Under this name is included an idea aimed at using artificial intelligence to teach wireless devices to feel both the postures and the movement of people, even if they are on the other side of the wall.
To achieve this knowledge, the research group used a neural network that would allow him to analyze the radio signals that bounce off the same people to then be able to outline the dynamic figure of the person walking, sitting, standing and moving their limbs as they carry out these actions.
The biggest challenge: the data
Neural networks became an uncomfortable study partner for researchers. And is that most of them train using hand-labeled data. A technique that radio signals don’t match.
To fix it, thousands of images of examples were collected about how people walked, talked, sat, opened doors or waited for the elevator, through wireless devices and a camera. From it they extracted the photographs to take out the bar figures, which revealed the neural network along with the corresponding radio signal.
The sum of both made it possible for the system to learn the association between radio signal and subject figures that appeared at the scene.

But this artificial intelligence is not only capable of going through walls. The same human body it has no secrets for her, and therefore it can suppose a whole range of possibilities towards the advancement in the world of medicine.
RF-Pose could be used in diseases such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis (MS) and muscular dystrophy, helping your controlas well as supplying a better understanding of progress of these and allowing medical professionals to adjust the medication.
