Remove the boot sound on your mac

Here’s a guide on how to turn off the boot sound on your Mac. The start-up sound was so loud that it had become annoying and unbearable. Then I tried to turn down the volume before turning off my Mac, it also worked – but if I had heard music and not turned down again, I had the trouble again when I started. Now I have found a program that can do the work for me, and it works even though I have turned up when I have heard music etc.

1. Start by downloading the program StartupSound, then press “Download Now”

2. Now comes the image below, here you need to double-click on the file.

3. Now you need to double click “StartupSoundPrefPane.pkg“it’s the installation file.

4. Now the program comes and asks a lot, say yes to it all and enter your code.

5. Mouse click “Close” now the program is installed.

6. Go to “System settings“by clicking on the icon below.

7. Here you need to find the icon which is called “Startup Sound“ok click it.

8. Now you can control the sound that comes when you turn on your mac.
