The lubricant brand has once again released a promotional video, based this time on the next film in the The Fast and the Furious saga, which makes use of immersive technologies.
It is not the first time that Castrol it presents a promotional video in which they make use of immersive technologies such as virtual or augmented reality. In fact, two years ago they presented Virtual Drift that used an Oculus DK2 for the experience. On this occasion, Castrol EDGE has partnered with Universal Pictures to create Titanium Ice, a new promotional video inspired by the next installment of the Fast & Furious saga and that makes use of augmented reality to offer an idea of how a driving game or application could become in these circumstances.

Shot in Canada, the video features the specialist pilot Debbie Evans who has participated over the years in the dangerous driving scenes of the Fast & Furious saga. At the wheel of a Jaguar F-TYPE 5.0 Supercharged V8 R AWD, the pilot faces nuclear submarines, tanks, helicopters, missiles, explosions and ice breaks in the mixed reality experience. The Castrol team has developed the production together with the UNIT9 studio.
