Dreadhalls now supports Touch and is coming to HTC Vive

The update that adds support for Oculus Touch is now available on Oculus Home, along with good news for HTC Vive users: the game is coming to SteamVR and will be compatible with the HTC viewer.

A couple of days ago we told you about our impressions after accessing a preliminary version of Dreadhalls compatible with Oculus Touch, and the sensations were very positive despite being a game designed for gamepad. Well, the update has already arrived at Oculus Home, so that all owners of the game will be able to enjoy it with gamepad or with Oculus motion controllers. But in addition to this, Sergio Hidalgo has confirmed that he is going to launch a campaign on Steam Greenlight to port the game to OpenVR, so that HTC Vive users can get hold of Dreadhalls on Steam and play it with motion controllers. At the moment there is no date for it, but since Dreadhalls is developed in Unity and already has support for motion controllers, we hope that the conversion will not present too many technical complications to White Door Games.

Currently Dreadhalls is available for Oculus Rift (€ 9.99) and GearVR (€ 4.99), and although it can be played on HTC Vive with ReVive, the best option is to wait to get the game on Steam as soon as it has native support. We hope it won’t take too long.
