As revealed by Owlchemy Labs, “Job Simulator: 2050 Archives” has reached the figure of more than 3 million dollars in sales, at the same time more than 250 million views on YouTube.

It is not yet known how many units of Job Simulator they have been sold for now, but if we are sure of one thing it is that a very promising picture is painted for the study of Owlchemy Labs.

Job Simulator it was one of the first releases in virtual reality and since then it has received great affection from all its followers, becoming the best-selling video game in the United States throughout 2016 on PlayStationVR and being one of the virtual reality video games with the highest revenues along with Onward and Raw Data.

“When we started the development of Job Simulator, it was a huge risk to bet everything on a project that could only work in VR, especially with the little knowledge and productivity that there was in virtual reality at that time, being somewhat distant and ambiguous.,” commented the executive director of Owlchemy Labs, Alex Schwartz.

“It’s fantastic to finally see how the numbers show that even in such an early market, success can already be found. We are incredibly proud that so many players from all over the world, both young and old, liked our game.”

According to comments Schwarz, much of its success is reduced to its “Spectator Mode”, being possible a great opportunity for ‘Streamers’ and content creators.

“I think a big part of the success of Job Simulator comes from how much fun it is to just watch someone play and fool around in VR. A lot of people have seen their favorite “YouTuber” play with physics in our game, and that’s great to show everyone how virtual reality can be something interactive and magical. The fact of mixing everyday life with virtual reality are the best way to show people what it really feels like to be inside a virtual space, so we are allowing streamers and content creators to easily share their experiences to amuse their viewers. ”

Job Simulator it has already been launched on the three main virtual reality platforms, being for the first time on HTC Vive as part of its launch games, and arriving later on Oculus Rift and PlayStationVR.
