Guy Godin, creator of Virtual Desktop, has published a trailer for the new version of his virtual desktop application that will arrive on December 6, and in which he adds support for motion controllers on both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

Virtual Desktop is an application with support for all PC HMDs that allows us to use our computer in virtual reality to do things like watch websites, movies or even play games on a giant screen. The new update 1.2 that will be released on December 6 will provide the possibility of using the HTC Vive motion controllers or the new Oculus Touch that will be available from the same day.

Each controller will serve as a pointer to select and interact with our desktop or scroll on the appropriate screens. Using the two controls we can zoom with the same touch gesture that we normally use on touchscreens, and in the case of not using them, they will automatically disappear from our vision so as not to disturb. We recently carried out an analysis of the different applications that are available for virtual desktop and Virtual Desktop was one of the ones we reviewed, so you can read the comparison here.
