Ubisoft has just announced that its virtual reality cooperative game based on the Star Trek universe will not be released in November as planned, but will leave next year.

It seems that the U.S.S. Aegis it will remain docked at the spaceport for a few months, specifically until the 14 March, as indicated by the Ubisoft statement. The game, in preparation for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and SteamVR (HTC Vive) needs more time to be ready and Ubisoft has preferred to give its development team a few more months so as not to force a premature launch that could cause it to reap bad reviews. A decision that fans will not like, but given the state of the virtual reality market, which has just started, it is better that the experiences that come out are polished and leave a good taste in our mouths.

Star Trek Bridge Crew will put us at the controls, along with 3 other companions, of the ship U.S.S. Aegis. We will have to choose what function we want to exercise on the bridge: captain, strategist, helm officer or engineer, and constantly talk with our team to bring to fruition the different missions that are entrusted to us. We had the opportunity to try it at the last Gamescom and we had a very fun time, since the cooperative mode and having to work together make the experience be enjoyed in a very different way from the typical virtual reality alone, which today is what we find in most experiences. We hope the delay is worth it.
