You can now also use your NFTs as a watch face on your Apple Watch. Maybe after all, NFTs are not as dead as we thought.
The American company Zelf now allows owners of an Apple Watch to display their favorite NFTs as a watchface. As early as tomorrow, around 50 million Americans could use an NFT as a dial. And now imagine the whole thing for the rest of the world.
The company behind this new application of NFTs is an American fintech company. The focus of the project is mainly on the younger generations. Currently, Zelf operates in the US and Europe, where it provides banking services within social platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Viper, Facebook Messenger and Discord.
According to Zelf, 100 million Apple Watch wearers worldwide will soon “have the opportunity to connect non-Fungible token collections of digital art to the watch face of the Apple Watch”.
The move by Zelf followed a similar announcement by Tag Heuer. Tag’s Connected Calibre smartwatch also allows users to display NFTs as a watch face.

NFTs and the mass market
Elliot Goykhman is CEO of Zelf: “We pursue different goals and target different markets. Tag Heuer and its parent company LVMH will continue to be luxurious and elitist in the future. However, our goal is mass adoption and inclusivity. It is a market of thousands against a market of hundreds of millions.“
