A new augmented reality viewer is looking for funding on Kickstarter, its name is SEER and its main feature is a 100º viewing angle and that works together with our smartphone to provide us with a quality experience for a reasonable price.

Augmented reality is fashionable, no one can deny that, and SEER seeks to open a gap in a market that is going to be extremely competitive, but it has a great asset in favor that will attract a lot of attention from the most demanding users: its 100º viewing angle.

The feeling is that of a screen of more than 200 ” about 2 and a half meters away (calculated with a 6″ smartphone), which is a more than respectable figure. As a curiosity, Palmer Luckey has tested the prototype and liked it so much that he has supported the campaign. Without a doubt it is quite a claim.

With SEER we will be able to enjoy any application that works on our smartphone, and its creators claim that those with HUD options such as GPS navigators will be spectacular. They are also working on creating their own applications such as an Ironman demo, a first-person shooter, a ghost chasing application, a game of destroying pieces of fruit and another of 3D models that dance in our hand, with many others that will be available when the device is finished.

As for the requirements, we will need a smartphone with a screen up to 6″. It is compatible with Android 2.3 and above, although they recommend Android 4.0. It will also work with iOS. The price is $ 89 for an early bird kit that we will receive next September, as long as they achieve their goal of $100,000 before March 3, which is the date on which the campaign ends.
