One of the most popular technological demos for Oculus Rift DK1 was Affected, which surprised everyone by its exquisite level of detail, its splendid setting and, above all, by the scares it gave to more than one unwary. Many of us were looking forward to being able to revive Affected in the DK2, and it seems that the long wait is coming to an end. Its author claims that the new version will be ready this weekend.
Affected consists of three experiences in one: the carnival, the asylum and the mansion, to which more creepy. The route is completely linear and there is no type of puzzle, we simply have to move forward and suffer with all the cold blood that we can the scares to which its creator mercilessly submits us. The tour lasts a few minutes in each scenario, but if with the DK1 you already had to arm yourself with courage before the terrifying atmosphere and how well they play with the sound and the atmosphere, surely the DK2 raises the pulsations even more. The DK1 version was very dark and it was very difficult to see where we were going on certain occasions, we assume that they have done something to alleviate the bleeding effect of DK2, since Affected is very prone to suffer from it.
