Google was one of the last companies that were missing to reveal their top exponent devices for this 2022, but finally complied. This Thursday, the company revealed the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, and incidentally also the Pixel Watch. Get to know them!
Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
The Google Pixel 7 includes a 6.3″ FullHD OLED display, 90Hz refresh rate and thinner bezels, offering a wider viewing surface. In addition, the company claims that it is 25% brighter than that of its predecessor.
As for power, the cell phone includes the proprietary Tensor G2 chipset, leaving aside Qualcomm and the Snapdragon 8 + gen 1 that populates other high-end smartphones. Google assures that this allows it to include features impossible otherwise. In addition, it includes 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage. The autonomy improves and promises to last up to 3 days in extreme saving mode.
Cameras have always been an important point for Google. This year, the company improved the front camera, as it now includes a 10.8 MP sensor, almost 2 MP larger than that of the Pixel 6. The rear camera had fewer improvements, but now it can record at 4K and 60 frames per second and use a feature called cinematic blur, which adds depth of field to images or videos.
The Google Pixel 7 will be sold starting at $599 USD and will begin to be distributed from October 13.
Pixel 7 Pro
On the other hand, the Pixel 7 Pro includes a 6.7″ OLED display with 1440p resolution and variable refresh rate ranging from 10 to 120Hz, frankly better than that of its younger brother. The processor is the same, but the Pixel 7 Pro includes 12GB of RAM and can go up to 512GB of storage.
The camera system is where the difference shines, because the big brother includes a 48MP telephoto sensor with 30x digital and 5x optical zoom; and a wide-angle sensor that has an even larger viewing angle of 125°. Both the rear and front cameras can record at 4K and 60 frames.
The Google Pixel 7 will be sold starting at $899 USD and will begin to be distributed from October 13.
Pixel Watch
The Pixel Watch, a smartwatch that has been leaked to the soul, is now official. The watch has only one size, 41mm, and comes accompanied by an OLED display with 1000 nits of brightness and always-on display functionality. Among its features are the Exynos 9110 chipset used in Samsung models and a Cortex M33 coprocessor, to power it, in addition to 32 GB of eMMC flash storage and 2 GB of SDRAM. In addition, it includes WearOS 3.5 and a strong integration with Fitbit.
As for connectivity, the Pixel Watch has Bluetooth 5.0, NFC for contactless payments from Google Wallet and Wi-Fi. In addition, it has strong GPS compatibility, as it works with GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo satellites.
The Pixel Watch will cost $350 USD for the GPS version, $400 for the version with mobile data and will start distributing from October 13.
