According to the report of IDC Russia Security Software 2012-2016 Forecast and 2011 Vendor Shares, the volume of Russian market of software systems information security (is) in 2011 reached
$306 million, which means an annual increase of 27.7%.
About 60% of the Russian market of software solutions IB was controlled by five companies: “Kaspersky Lab”, ESET, Symantec, Positive Technologies and Microsoft. Also among the leading suppliers of
software solutions of information security in 2011 were IBM, Dr. Web, “infosistemy Dzhet”, HP and Oracle.
Home users remain the leading consumers in the market. In the corporate segment significant demand for solutions for infrastructure management information security, management solutions
identity and access. Solutions for protection against data leaks was demanded by organizations working with large volumes of personal and financial data – primarily banks, operators
communication and governmental organizations.
There is a marked growth in demand from the industrial sector. Emerging recent threats such as STUXNET, DUQU and FLAME, force enterprises to pay more attention
information security than before.
Emerging in 2010, the slowdown in the growth of demand for solutions to protect the external perimeter will continue over the whole projection period, from 2012 to 2016.
“Taking the decision to invest in software, information security, Russian companies are paying increasing attention to the problems of vulnerability management and access to information.
Users are aware of the importance of these decisions to protect critical data and ensure business continuity, says IDC analyst Pyotr Gorodetskiy. – The times when information
