Bandai Namco offers a preview of what the virtual reality mode of the new installment of the saga will be like.
After revealing in Gamescom the date of release of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknow (January 18, 2019), in addition to the number of PSVR compatible missions (5 in total), Bandai Namco he has released a new trailer focused on the virtual reality mode that will include this new installment of the aircraft game. In the video, which is part of the catalog of titles with VR that showed yesterday at the Sony conference of the TGS 2018, we can see part of the action that will reach our viewers in a few months.
As shown in the trailer, one of the advantages of getting virtually into the cabin of our plane will be the ability to look around us to have greater control of air combat. The video also illustrates how the configuration of some of the weapons and the confrontation with other enemies works, although it does not teach any kinematics, as it does with the trailers of the main campaign (not playable on PSVR), so it is possible that you do not have them.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknow is coming early next year, and the team already anticipated last year that missions for VR mode will have “the same narrative depth” as those for the campaign, although that comment came along with the estimate of 15 hours, which was eventually reduced to 3.
