The company will update Premiere Pro and After Effects with improvements to work with immersive videos compatible with Google’s 180º format.
Adobe it has announced on the occasion of IBC 2018 new video features that will soon be coming to Adobe Creative Cloud and that will improve workflows, one of them being the process of editing immersive videos. The new update will improve the “comprehensive support” of videos in 180 degrees, a format that Google, along with other manufacturers, is promoting with its standard and the arrival of compatible cameras such as the Mirage Camera from Lenovo.
“Video professionals face short deadlines, cumbersome transfers and long delivery lists,” says Steve Warner, Vice President of Digital Video and Audio at Adobe. “This latest version of Creative Cloud introduces innovations and new capabilities to address these challenges and make common tasks faster and easier.”
According to the company, they will add new support options for immersive 180-degree videos (monoscopic or stereoscopic) in Premiere Pro and After Effects, including optimized ingest features, effects and video generation in Google VR 180 format for YouTube or other platforms.
The novelties presented will be available this year with the next version of Creative Cloud. More information about the changes can be found on this page.
