The Omnigames company is preparing Age of Heroes, a role-playing game for fans of MMORPG-style combat that will allow a group of 5 players to face a multitude of dangers using VR.
Not much is known about Age of Heroes yet, except that it will be available for the three big virtual reality platforms: PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, coming first to Oculus Home and Steam and later to the Sony console, although it will do so this year on all three devices. The game takes place in a fantasy world in which players must use their own movement to defeat enemies in raid-type confrontations. The actions that we are used to in this type of game, such as throwing fireballs, healing an ally or summoning creatures that fight by our side, will be performed in a natural way using our hands. We can also take some steps to dodge enemy attacks if we have room scale, although the developers will also offer alternatives for those players who do not have enough space.
In principle, it seems that the game will only be able to play with a device of virtual reality, as its mechanics are completely designed for the use of motion controllers, and by what we see in the trailer, it seems that it has implemented the avatar full of the player, unlike other games of this style that we can only see our hands hovering before us. Will Age of Heroes be the great experience MMO players have come to expect from virtual reality? We will soon get out of doubt.
