The number of fans of virtual shopping in Ukraine for the last five years has doubled. Today 91% of Ukrainian consumers at least once, but made a purchase in the online store. This is evidenced by the results of an online survey conducted by Nielsen Connected Commerce. Researches have allowed to obtain many other interesting data that you can see below.
The Ukrainians prefer to buy online
In the first place – clothes, shoes and accessories. The goods of these categories in Internet buy 56% of Ukrainian consumers.
Further, the priority of computer and consumer electronics. Online buy them 52 and 50 percent, respectively.
Completing the top three cosmetics and hygiene products (42%).
The lowest demand in Ukraine, as it turned out, is the remote purchase of food. And though sales in this segment in 2016 compared to 2011 rose from 3 to 6%, these figures are much less than in this area in European countries.
What prevents the Internet shopping?
In the case of online purchase of food consumers in the first place confuses the inability to personally check their quality and to ensure freshness (so say 41% of respondents). The Nielsen surveys show that Ukrainians are also dissatisfied with the quality of delivery.
Visit the store to evaluate the properties of goods is important, according to the Ukrainians, and in the case of purchases of cosmetics and perfumery. The most reliable source of the goods in this case are the comments of friends (this was reported by 33% of respondents).
But as information about the different types of equipment and clothing, then Ukrainians trust the information on the websites of shops (47 and 36%, respectively).
