Telefrag VR, which will be compatible with Rift, Vive and PSVR, will arrive in beta form this year and in final version in 2019.
Anshar Studios he was present at Gamescom showcasing his space adventure Detached and his new game Teletrag, coming next year to PC and PSVR. This new title will immerse us in competitive one-on-one battles in scenarios set in an alternative future where the Roman Empire is still present. Unlike other games, Telefrag will allow us to literally climb the walls and move in a frenetic way, since the free movement is done through short and fast jumps. In addition, with our left teleportation weapon we can even eliminate our enemy in Doom VFR style (teleporting on top of it).
Before entering the battles we can choose different configurations of weapons, those that best suit our style or our opponent. In case of losing the fight against another player (there will also be bots), we will have to buy back our equipment. As for weapons, Telefrag offers everything from rifles and grenade launchers to plasma cannons.
The Polish studio had at the fair a prealpha version of Telefrag that we could test for a few minutes. The game is reminiscent of great classics like Quake, although it eliminates the possibility of jumping from the equation. As we could see, both the walls and structures were passable, having to be attentive to any possible direction of attack. The Dash-like displacements and the curious geometry of the map that we tested allowed us to experience that dynamic of fast play, although initially it was difficult to follow the movements of our opponent to shoot him with our weapon.
Telefrag will arrive in beta form this year, so the project will continue to evolve. More information will be shared soon.
