According to the expert portal, Apple now covers almost all of Germany with the Look Around function and has even overtaken Google’s Street View, which started in 2010 and has not been further expanded since 2011 after data protection protests.
If you want the streetview look, you can have your house pixelated
According to the information, Apple’s photo material for Look Around apparently dates from 2020 in many places. Faces or vehicle license plates are pixelated by default.
If this is not the case or if owners also want to have the facades of their houses pixelated, the menu item “Report a problem” can be found in Apple Maps for every point of view, explains the Bavarian Office for Data Protection Supervision responsible for Apple on an info page on Look Around.
