The Dutch developers of Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive announce that their popular zombie game for virtual reality “Arizona Sunshine” will have a new option to move around the world.
There were many of us who had been asking for this type of updates both in Arizona Sunshine as in any other title. The fact of moving through virtual worlds through teleportation can sometimes detract from realism, and many of us prefer to move in a more “realistic” way, or at least, to be given the right to decide how we want to enjoy a video game.
The movement through the ‘trackpad’ allows players to move around the virtual world without having to physically walk through the game space or without having to use the ‘tedious’ teleportation system. This allows to add greater immersion and realism to the players.
“We are grateful for all the suggestions that players have made for additional modes and features that they would like to see in the game. We have been listening and we are delighted to announce the implementation of the new locomotion system based on the ‘trackpad’. This update will be released on January 24 and will be completely free. The classic teleportation system will still be available in the game, which means that players will now have an additional option to choose how they want to live this adventure.”, say Richard Stitselaar, CEO of Vertigo Games.
Arizona Sunshine has earned over $1.4 million in its first month of release, has garnered an impressive 87% rating on Steam, a score of 4 stars (out of 5 stars) on Oculus Home, and a score of Very good in the analysis of Real or Virtual.
