Augmented reality behind the wheel of a vehicle could be much closer than it seems. BMW will present at the Shanghai Motor Show the Mini Augmented Vision glasses, to be used at the wheel of our Mini.
These glasses, still pending homologation as we read in Car & Driver The F1, will offer us very valuable information on board the vehicle: GPS indications, help when parking, data obtained from the vehicle’s on-board computer such as fuel consumption and speed, and even instant messages that we can read without taking our eyes off the road.
But the most spectacular is the so-called X-ray vision, a technology present in combat aircraft that allows us to see the objects surrounding the vehicle, we understand that with the help of cameras installed in it.
