The closed beta of the Rebellion tank game, currently available on PlayStation VR, will begin next April 19 on PC with support for Rift and Vive.
Rebellion has announced that it will be releasing a closed beta of the PC version of Battlezone, a futuristic tank game that was a PlayStation VR launch title. In addition, the company has taken the opportunity to confirm that the title will also have native support for HTC Vive, as well as the previously announced support for Oculus Rift. The beta, which will last one week and will start on April 19, will be compatible with both viewers and all those interested in participating have to register at the following link until April 13 to qualify for one of the limited places. The objective of the beta is to make sure that the game is well optimized for the different hardware configurations that there may be and, in turn, to test the performance of the online cooperative.
The new PC version of Battlezone will be optimized for Rift and Vive and will offer new features such as ultra-high resolution textures, adjustable super-sampling, high resolution shadow maps and compatibility with motion controllers such as Oculus Touch. The game will include as standard all the improvements that have been added since the launch of the PSVR version, and will also allow you to enjoy the procedural campaign in cooperative for up to 4 players who will be able to connect and disconnect with the game started and at any time. Battlezone will be available soon on the Oculus store and Steam, but they haven’t announced a release date yet.
