The creators of Smashbox Arena gather a big investment thanks to their battle-royale style game for VR, Population:One
The BigBox VR studio, founded by Chia Chin Lee and Gabe Brown, announces that it has received a $ 5 million round of funding from a number of venture capitalists, who have seen Population:One as a candidate for the future. As part of the deal, Jacob Mullins of Shasta Ventures joins the board of directors to help offer his next multiplayer shooter battle-royale, Popoulation: One a satisfactory commercial future.
With this injection they seek to revolutionize the world of multiplayer games in VR, creating a product with esports in mind, capable of creating a community around them. With a series of events that will make use of the tournament system and live broadcast capabilities of the title, they will offer VR enthusiasts a place to converge day after day.
