Now that all manufacturers are launching their electric cars, General Motors could not be left behind. Therefore, we have already received confirmation of the launch of a Chevrolet Equinox of this style… and it will even be produced in Mexico!
The electric Equinox 2024 will be Mexican
According to information from GM Authority, General Motors has officially announced that the production of the Chevrolet Equinox will happen in Mexico in March 2024 and it will also be an electric crossover. Production will take place at the GM plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. The Equinox is the second all-electric vehicle produced by GM in Mexico, after the Chevy Blazer electric.
The president and director of GM Mexico, Francisco Garza, was the one who confirmed the news, during a press conference. And in fact it could have arrived earlier, but the company made an adjustment to its production flow, as it had to make adjustments to the software strategy to ensure the “highest possible quality and customer experience”. Because of this, the production was delayed for a while.

So far, the plant in Ramos Arizpe is the only confirmed facility worldwide for the manufacture of the Equinox 2024, outside of a plant in China that only manufactures and supplies that local market.
