This Saturday, January 14, from 18:30, the festival of virtual reality and 360º short films will start, which will take place at the La Casa Grande Youth Center in Rivas-Vaciamadrid.
Festival Cinema 360 Contest, organized by I+D Films, has been designed to publicize nationally all kinds of audiovisual productions of virtual reality and videos in 360º, thus showing the benefits and possibilities of this technology. The awards ceremony will take place this Saturday at 21:00, but before that there will be a master class on virtual reality where various topics such as its future and its applications will be discussed. From 19:30, all participants, as well as producers present, will show their works to the attending public.
Another of the main objectives of the organization is to be able to evaluate the works presented in a professional way, taking into account the possibilities offered by this new medium, and with a jury that includes industry professionals such as Mairena Ruiz from Future Lighthouse, creators of The VR Ministry. The 47 submitted works will compete in different categories such as best musical, ambient, fiction or documentary, among others.
