The Cmoar viewer has successfully completed the Kickstarter campaign after exceeding the $100,000 target. More than 500 people are already impatiently waiting for the arrival of their unit, scheduled for June.
Recall that Cmoar is a mobile case that offers some of the most advanced functionalities implemented by Gear VR: volume controls and cursors integrated into the case, its own accelerometer and an external gamepad. In addition, it has very interesting extras that can attract certain users, the most curious being the one that adds a rectangular Fresnel lens to visualize monoscopic contents on a giant screen.
But Cmoar does not stop here, since it also added after the start of the campaign the option to buy a screen, to choose between 1080p and 1440p, which allows its operation without mobile, connected directly to a PC or console via HDMI. Using the monoscopic lens, no special software is necessary as the image arrives undeformed.

Cmoar is compatible with more than 150 smartphones between 4″ and 5.7″, both Android and iPhone, and offers an SDK that allows you to use the 1000 Hz sensor integrated in the case instead of the one included in the smartphone.
