We have found on IndieGoGo a new controller designed for virtual reality, which comes to do the functions of a walker but to play sitting. His name is 3dRudder and he hopes to find the necessary financing to become a reality.

Although its appearance reminds us of that of a robot vacuum cleaner, 3dRudder is a control device that has a concave base that allows it to tilt in all directions, as well as rotate on itself, transmitting the movement to the computer, to which it is connected via a USB cable. It will have a control API that will allow you to get the most out of it, in addition to being able to emulate a keyboard or a joystick to be compatible with all kinds of software without more.
Although they do not sell it as such, it seems to us a device that can complement a HOTAS in a space simulator, serving for example to slide the ship in the horizontal and vertical axes, being more versatile than simulation pedals. The IndieGoGo campaign ends on January 18 and at the moment it has gathered around 20% of the goal of $50,000, and the price per unit is $110 + $20 for shipping costs. The units will be shipped next May.
