Create a code on your Office Word document
Here is a guide on how to password protect your Microsoft Office Word document, making sure that only the right people are reading the content. In Microsoft Office Word you also have the option to put code on the editing of the document, so that you can read it but not change the text. See instructions below.
1. Once you have opened Your Word document that you want to create a password on, click in the top left, select “Prepare“and then “Encrypt document”.
2. Now it asks you to write your password to the Word document, remember to note it somewhere safe. After you press “OK” be sure to save the document, otherwise it will not work.
