The quality of the production, an original development and the use of Gear VR have been some of the factors valued by the jury.
Game Daedalus, created by the Madrid studio Vertical Robot, has managed to be crowned as the winner of the first edition of “The Challenge: Best VR game“, a contest of Samsung Dev UK launched earlier this year. The initiative aims to boost the industry of virtual reality games in Spain, bringing them closer to the public and giving support to developers who have opted for Gear VR.

“The developer community plays a key role in creating new content that takes full advantage of Samsung’s technology. That is why we are proud to offer a space that gives place to the generation of ideas as innovative as the video games presented to The Challenge”, says Miguel Ángel Ruiz, head of Brand and Innovation at Samsung Spain.
Daedalus is a game with parts of exploration and platforms that immerses us in a dreamlike and surreal world. Our goal is to escape mazes by finding the different platforms that open the door of each level. We can learn more about the game in the podcast we did with the studio and in chapter two of Exploring Oculus Go.
The award consists of two Galaxy Note 8 and two 2017 model Gear VR viewers.
