Defragmentation Windows 7
Here you have a good defragmentation program, which shows you how far you have reached. As something new in Windows Vista and Windows 7, the defragmentation runs in the background, so you can not see how far it has reached. You could in Windows XP, if you miss it you have here a program which shows you this info again. The program is called ”Auslogics Disk Defrag” and has a little more options than the one that is in Windows.
Download the program here: Auslogics Disk Defrag
1. Once the program is installed and started, select the disk that you want to defragment. In my case, I only have my c: drive, it is also the one that you will often defragment, since all the system files put there. Press “Defrag”
2. Now the program has started defragmenting your computer, you can see how far it has reached, just like in the old days. You also have the option to check that it should turn off your computer when it is finished. Super good detail, as you can then put it on before going to bed.
