For years, Denuvo has been the favorite anti-piracy DRM solution of most computer, console and mobile video games. Until now, there was one brand that did not have this protection system, Nintendo, but these days are over: Denuvo is coming to Switch games!
Through social networks, Irdeto, the developer of Denuvo, confirmed that it is already actively working to include the anti-piracy protection system in Nintendo games. In this way, even if users bring the executable files to be emulated on PC, they will not be executed.
Denuvo by Irdeto launches the first Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection technology to safeguard games launched on Nintendo Switch.

Irdeto reminded people that Denuvo helps developers increase their income, especially during the first weeks of a game’s release, as that’s when most of the profits are generated. Anyone who wants a new Switch game will have to buy it, because they will not be able to simply emulate it.
“At Denuvo we understand that piracy negatively affects the gaming industry and we are working with industry parties to ensure that they have the latest protection technologies available to them. Our team is pleased to provide a solution that will help developers and publishers combat the problem of Nintendo Switch piracy,” said Reinhard Blaukovitsch, Managing director of Denuvo by Irdeto.
Of course, in order for Denuvo to work, developers have to decide to include it in their games. In addition, historically this system negatively affects the performance of titles, although in this case Irdeto assures that the protection system will not affect the gaming experience.
