Great news for Oculus, since Dying Light, one of the star titles of 2015 developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros, could have official support for the Rift. The title is in development for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and its creators are considering the possibility of creating a virtual reality edition, although given the mechanics and camera movements that we have seen, the task is not at all simple.

The news we read on DigitalSpy, which asserts that the developers take months working with Oculus, and in fact already have a functional version of the game, although the support, this would not be public until the arrival of the commercial version of the Rift, which does not mean that there is an unofficial way to activate it at the time of the release of the game, intended in principle for the end of January, the same way we have been able to do with Alien Isolation.
“We launched the game in January, which is practically around the corner, so the launch will be before they launch theirs at the hardware level [Oculus]”, states chief designer Maciej Binkowski. “We will continue to support the game after launch, and if they are ready [Oculus], I hope we are too.”
Binkowski claims that the changes suffered by the Oculus SDK after the release of version 0.4, has forced them to start from scratch in terms of support for Oculus Rift. “There are still a lot of technical difficulties, but we are working on it, and I can’t wait to play Dying Light officially on this device.”
