D-Day has finally arrived. After 4 long years of waiting, Tesla has finally launched the Cybertruck, the most anticipated electric pickup truck in history. At an event held in Texas, the company revealed much of the information that everyone wanted, although not all of it. Here we leave the highlights for you.
Features of the Cybertruck
From 0 to 100 in 6.5 seconds
The Cybertruck we know today is very close to what Tesla promised us in 2019. The vehicle will have 3 variants, depending on how much power, speed and autonomy you require.
The base version has an autonomy of around 400 km, acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6.5 seconds, 180 km /h of maximum speed and towing capacity of 3400 kg. The medium version has similar specifications, although with more autonomy, better acceleration and towing capacity, in addition to having all-wheel drive (4×4). The higher version, nicknamed CyberBeast, has a much faster acceleration (2.6 seconds) and a top speed of 200 km/h, although it is much more expensive and has less autonomy than the medium version.
Features sheet
An interesting addition is a “range extender”, an extra battery that can be put in the pan (occupying 1/3) and that dramatically increases the battery of the truck. You can also buy a tent that can turn the batea into a shelter.
The Cybertruck has dimensions of approximately 1.83 meters long by 1.22 meters wide, while its weight is around 3100 kg.
Are we going camping?
The vehicle has 35″ all-terrain tires is Tesla’s first vehicle with electronic steering and uses a 48-volt system instead of the traditional 12-volt system, significantly reducing wiring. Something interesting is that it has reversible charging, which means that it has the ability to charge other vehicles or even entire homes.
As for the interior, the most striking thing is the addition of a strip of ambient lighting along the dashboard, as included in the Model 3.

Price and availability
The base version of the Cybertruck costs $61,000 USD, the average $80,000 USD and the CyberBeast $100,000 USD.
It is important to mention that prices have increased considerably compared to what was promised in the original presentation in 2019, although this was to be expected due to the dramatic inflation that has occurred in recent years.
Off-road
The first units that have been pre-ordered for almost five years were delivered this day, but Tesla is already accepting new orders. If you are interested, you just have to enter this link and make a modest deposit of $250 USD.
