At the Facebook F8 conference held yesterday, a rather enigmatic fact has occurred that has kept the entire community on edge despite having been denied, and it is a possible arrival this year of the CV1.
It all happened after showing the trailer for EVE: Valkyrie. Mike Schroepfer said, after commenting on the strategy of using Oculus technology and explaining why virtual reality had failed in the past, that “you will be able to do all this this year in virtual reality, and you will be able to do it in something manufactured by Oculus”. Mike did not take long to clarify this statement on Twitter shortly after, indicating that he was referring to the fact that there are already devices like the DK2, insisting that he has not announced anything about release dates, neither EVE: Valkyrie (confirmed some time ago as a launch title for Oculus Rift) nor CV1 itself.
@tim @vindugoel I know what I meant to say was just this tech is here this year – *not* announcing this game or oculus shipping this year

@vindugoel did not announce anything regarding shipping just said pc hardware available this year can create these experiences

Was it really a gaffe announcing something that was wanted to be kept secret, or is it just as he says and everything has been interpreted incorrectly? The controversy is served, what do you think?
