Immersive Studios, a Spanish indie team, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for its old-fashioned horror game, with exploration and puzzle elements.
Falling Doors it is the first game of Immersive, an indie studio formed by a group of five people from Barcelona who grew up enjoying titles such as Resident Evil, Alone in the Dark or Silent Hill. The game, developed on Unreal Engine, will have a deep story, careful mechanics and will support first and third person. Exploration will be fundamental, we will have to solve puzzles and our actions will influence the scenario. The control will be very varied including gamepad and motion controllers on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The music is another important factor that they emphasize, since they have embedded a soundtrack track in the Kickstarter campaign, in order for us to play it while reading it.
Falling Doors will not be a shooter: to defend ourselves we will use the environment, torches or other tools that we find. There will be secret places to discover and tools that we can improve. The difficulty of the game will be adapted according to our progress to create a balanced experience. As for the story, Falling Doors follows in the footsteps of David, a man who lost his family under unknown circumstances, but who will do everything in his power to find the truth.
Its creators are looking for support on Kickstarter to be able to dedicate the necessary time to creating the game. We can get a copy of Falling Doors for € 10, while the offer lasts, or for € 20 once it concludes. The campaign seeks to raise € 130,000, its expected delivery date is for September 2018, and will be compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
