We have the first trailer in Spanish of the story mode of Farpoint, the first game that will make use of the new Aim Controller peripheral.
The next May 17 arrives Farpoint; before its release, Impulse Gear he has published the new trailer for his story mode, which looks very good. Not content with creating a shooter where the physical feeling of space is crucial, the development team also wanted to take a different approach in terms of narrative.
“I think we have achieved a very different science fiction story, especially for a shooter,” he explains Randy Nolta, artistic director and co-founder of the studio Impulse Gear. “The characters are lost and trying to learn how to survive, while getting to know each other. It’s an emotional plot, we wanted the player to feel affection for these characters and to be ultra-realistic. It will stir up your feelings for what may happen to them.”
“In some cinematic sequences, you play the role of another character. Sometimes someone comes up to you and interacts with you as if you were right there, looking directly into your eyes. It’s a way to take the immersion of the story to another level. Having the characters enter your personal space forces you to get involved in a way that is not achieved in other games.”
“We worked with other developers on our facial scans and animation to make sure the characters looked realistic. We are also using skin shaders and advanced morph targets, all the means we need to make everything look real, because the characters are very close and express many moods.”
The complete Farpoint package, which includes the game and Aim Controller, will cost € 89.99 and will be available on May 17.
