The startup Hypersuit, based in Paris, is building a device on which we lie down and can move our arms in different directions in order to emulate different experiences such as flying.
Instead of standing with gamepad or motion controllers, Hypersuit it proposes us to use our body as a controller, lying down in a position that has been conceived in collaboration with experts and through which we will have the freedom to move our arms thanks to the structure it incorporates, capable of reproducing any human gesture. The device, which began development in 2016 and is currently still in the prototype phase, was shown at the recent CES in Las Vegas.
With Hypersuit we can become a superhero, an astronaut, a diver or a wingsuit pilot, and to recreate those sensations the device uses a number of sensors that detect our movements. The company is still developing the hardware and software in order to commercialize the product in June, and at a price not yet disclosed.
