The Matamarcianos 2D releases a new edition for virtual reality that includes the original game plus the expansion The Void.
GALAK-Z: The Dimensional is the second release of the indie studio 17BIT it saw the light in 2015, after its successful debut with the turn-based strategy game Skulls of the Shogun. The title presents a theme and appearance in the style of classic Japanese animated series such as Comando G, in addition to a gameplay reminiscent of vertical scrolling arcade shooters such as the Gradius saga mixed with elements of the Megaman. In turn, incorporated aspects and mechanical more contemporary as extensive options for character progression, advanced AI with an endless array of tactical possibilities for abatirnos, a system-generated maps procedurally and the possibility of transforming our ship in a robot armed with a sword laser, which will put at our disposal another control scheme to make use of our improvements and skills.
The Void expansion appeared a year later as DLC, offering more hours for those who had already made the most of the campaign and adding a survival game mode with online rankings.
Now all this has been adapted for VR users in the latest version of the game, GALAK-Z: The Virtual, which is already available for Rift in the official store for 19,99€. The control room point of view that they have chosen for the playable scenes allows us to explore with the look a little beyond the conventional range, but framing us in a kind of giant monitor to keep the attention focused on our character.
