One of the most incredible experiences, which we had with the Rift DK2, is coming very soon to Steam with a new version with room scale and support for Rift and Vive.
The mod development team HLVR it has announced that a new version will be available very soon that will come to Steam, going through Greenlight first, and that it will have Steam VR support. This new version of the Half-Life 2 mod will offer the possibility of room scaling and compatibility with the commercial versions of Rift and Vive, which will allow us to use the motion controllers. As for how soon the release will be, the development team does not make it clear, but the first step is to launch Greenlight campaign while they finish polishing the mod. Below we can see a teaser video that they have published:
Many DK2 and even CV1 users have already been able to get into Ciudad 17, but this time we will be able to do it with motion controllers and room scale. Something that will allow us to relive one of the videos we recorded more than three years ago with DK2 and Razer Hydra, in which we crossed the bridge phase of Half-Life 2.
