The Almeria company NeuroDigital is developing a haptic glove for virtual reality and its goal is to achieve a very affordable price, around 199 euros, and they want to do it within a time frame of one month. After more than 6 years of work at the University of Almeria, the device is so close that we can almost touch it, if we are allowed the expression.
Francisco Nieto, CEO of NeuroDigital, explained to El Mundo that “while working as a researcher at the University of Almería we detected that there were important deficiencies in the field of technology for research in the field of neuroscience”. His field of research is the use of virtual reality focused on physical and neurological rehabilitation. They are helped by giants such as Intel and Microsoft, which provide them with the necessary technology even a year before its release on the market.
We are always glad to see that in Spain there is also research in the field of virtual reality, and this haptic glove is a very promising device, since although at the moment it does not give the feeling that it is focused on the consumer market, the price they are pursuing could facilitate their penetration into entertainment software.
