Innoarea, developers of virtual and augmented reality solutions, and Dicoma Pack, supplier of bottling lines for Spanish wineries, are working to integrate Microsoft Hololens in the industrial field.
Both Spanish companies, Innoarea and Dicoma Pack, are investigating the benefits of using the latest augmented reality devices in the industrial sector. Specifically, we are working on the analysis of the utilities that can provide viewfinders such as Hololens. The Microsoft device, only available for developers and whose first impressions we tell you about here, allows you to visualize virtual objects on reality or obtain added information through images or texts.
Operators can have total freedom in their hands to perform any type of task, such as machine repair, while consulting the extra information that appears to them about their real environment. One of the first applications developed by Innoarea has been a specific one for Hololens of design and adaptation of installations prior to their assembly. Through this software, the device projects a real-size image of the machine that is intended to be installed, allowing the assembly technicians to verify that the future installation conforms to the space and technical characteristics of the customer’s factory.
