One of the biggest surprises of the recent presentation in which Apple revealed the iPhone 14 was the revelation of the Dynamic Island, an island /context menu that serves to provide functionality and hide the notch in the center of the top of the phone. And now you can have it on your Android phone too.
As you may remember, a few weeks ago a Chinese developer created a kind of Dynamic Island, but it was only an addition to an exclusive theme of the MIUI customization layer of Xiaomi smartphones. Now, another person dedicated himself to creating a more functional and more similar island, which by the way can be downloaded for any Android via Google Play.
The application in question is called dynamicspot – Multitasking and can be installed for a wide variety of cell phones. The app supports a lot of notifications and other apps, such as timers and alarms. In addition, it also serves to easily control the music. Watch dynamicspot up and running below:
Despite being based on Dynamic Island, dynamicspot is even superior to Apple’s context menu, because the Android one does allow customization. You can choose the layout and location of the island, the types and times of notification and more. In fact, it even has a paid version that allows you to add the island to the lock screen.
dynamicspot is still in Beta state, so it may have some problems, but that means it can also improve.
On the other hand, it is important to mention that in order to display all kinds of notifications and controls, the app has to have almost total access to your smartphone, although the developer assures that no type of information is collected about it.
