The installation manual of the wireless adapter for Vive has been temporarily published on the Vive website, which makes us assume that its launch will occur in the next dates.
Despite the fact that the wireless adapter for the HTC Vive, presented at CES at the beginning of the year, still has no official price or release date, the Reddit user “Dal1Dal” has discovered on the Vive website (was temporarily online), a configuration manual that details the process of installing the WiGig transmitter with Intel technology.
The Vive wireless adapter, which transmits audio and video signals wirelessly to the viewfinder, comes with a WiGig PCIe card to be installed on the PC. Then connect the Wireless Link Box and hook it to the monitor.

To install the adapter in the viewer, you have to follow the instructions for each of the versions of our Vive. For both the Vive Original and the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap, installation seems simple, with some velcro and short cables. However, the Vive Pro does not seem to have the necessary parts to connect the wireless adapter, so you will have to buy an additional package, the “Attach Kit for Wireless Adapter”, whose price is not yet available.
Finally, we will have to install the Vive Wireless software and we will have our system ready to forget about the cables once and for all.
To enhance the wireless experience, the web says we must use the HTC QC 3.0 Power Bank, a 10,050 mAh battery with capacity for fast charging.
