LeanIX VSM (Value Stream Management) is designed to harmonize business requirements and technological solutions and thus optimize software development processes. The platform was designed for modern software development departments. It offers a variety of integrations and supports the avoidance of redundancies, success measurement and governance by means of flow metrics.
LeanIX VSM is a further development of the previous cloud Intelligence and microservice Intelligence solutions. It contains a new set of integrations that expand cataloging and provide additional data from previously disconnected teams, tools and environments. In addition, thanks to a number of dashboards, reports and catalogs, bottlenecks can be discovered in development pipelines as well as in public cloud and cloud-native instances such as AWS, Azure, GCP or Kubernetes.
Improve effectiveness and decision-making
Leanix VSM should meet the needs of development departments and IT managers alike, explains Leanix CEO André Christ. For this purpose, the SaaS offer links existing knowledge and workflow processes. “This increases the reliability of software, improves the effectiveness in allocating resources and helps organizations to make decisions more confidently,” says Christ.
It is an enormous challenge to link software artifacts and services in order to measure their performance. Software departments would have to be given an aggregated, comprehensive view of selected data so that decisions are no longer made from a gut feeling.
“The more development departments, DevOps teams and product IT make this value flow visible within their organizations, the more data is available to understand which tools and processes deliver value and which do not,” explains Christ. “With LeanIX VSM, we are enabling this proactive approach. In this way, we help to measure the KPIs over time and to gain concrete, actionable insights that are relevant for the future“.
