Washington The Facebook owner Meta Platforms is filling the position of information security chief with Guy Rosen for the first time in his company history. Rosen announced on Twitter on Tuesday night that he would monitor the entire range of security risks for users, the company and the industry.
Rosen has been working for the world’s largest Internet network with almost three billion monthly users since 2013. Company founder Mark Zuckerberg described the appointment in an internal letter seen by Reuters as a further step to emphasize the security aspect. Facebook changed its name to Meta in October 2021. The US group regularly struggles with security vulnerabilities and hacker attacks.
