Thursday, October 30, company “Mobile TeleSystems” (MTS) and Vodafone has announced that it has made exclusive strategic non-equity partnership.
The firms signed a four-year agreement is aimed at “expanding the marketing and technological capabilities of both companies” and will act on the territory of Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan,
Turkmenistan and Armenia.
The essence of the agreement is that now, MTS will be able on an exclusive basis to access best practices, product portfolio and marketing development Vodafone for mass and corporate
markets. Russian operator also expects to obtain from the foreign partner expert support at the stages of selection, launch, and promote its marketing initiatives and the introduction of new
technology customer service. In addition, Vodafone is ready to provide MTS technical assistance – share your experience in the construction of networks of third generation (3G) broadband networks
in the Internet, etc.
Another advantage of cooperation with Russian operator Vodafone believes the opportunity to participate in the program Vodafone Global Enterprise (service to large international corporate customers). At
according to MTS, its new partner has approximately 200 major “global multinational corporate clients,” branches or branches which are located in “zone of responsibility” of the Russian
of the company but are not yet its clients.
