It came as a surprise, but The Umbrella Academy became one of the most important series in the history of Netflix. In the last 3 years we have received 3 seasons full of action and drama, but there were still some loose ends. That’s why today the company announced a 4°. and last season.
Through social networks, Netflix confirmed that The Umbrella Academy will end with season 4, which is already in full development. It should be remembered that season 3 ended with the Hargreeves saving the universe and with only a couple of the Sparrows alive, although strangely they all ran out of powers. Apparently, it was all a plan of Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who apparently now controls the world. As you can see, there is a lot to solve.

The general Netflix account delved a little deeper into the matter, revealing a pleasant surprise: Steve Blackman, who has been a writer, director and executive producer of The Umbrella Academy, extended his collaboration with Netflix. He will now be in charge of adapting Horizon: Zero Dawn, the legendary PlayStation game, in addition to a new concept called Orbital!

“I am very excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting ending to the Hargreeves brothers’ journey that we began five years ago,” Blackman said. “But before we get to that conclusion, we have an incredible story ahead of us for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”

At the moment, season 4 of The Umbrella Academy does not have a release date, although considering the past installments were made in consecutive years, it is quite safe to assume that it will premiere in 2023. In addition, it has been confirmed that most of the actors will reprise their roles.
