The new Eagle Dynamics module for DCS World, which will add control options for those who want to enjoy a simpler experience, will arrive this fall.
Eagle Dynamics, studio responsible for DCS and Lock On, has announced Modern Air Combat (MAC), its new DCS module that we can enjoy with Rift, Vive and Windows MR. Basically, it is an improvement of the Flamming Cliffs 3 DLC that includes 14 aircraft with flight models, designs, sounds and cabins recreated with an “exceptional level of detail and precision”. As with Lock On and the Flaming Cliffs series, it focuses on planes from the east and west, allowing us to fight historical conflicts from the Korean War to the present day, as well as being able to create our own missions with the included editor. Almost all planes have their missions and campaigns.

As the developers explain, we will be able to pilot everything we have now when we have MAC, since it is a module of DCS World. Another of the features it adds is the simplification of the controls for those who do not have much to learn how the whole system works. The team has taken great care to offer a scalable title to suit our levels and personal desires, including different types of intuitive and consistent configurations between planes, difficulty settings, option for more permissive flight dynamics and even the ability to pilot with just the keyboard. Although we don’t see the motion controllers among the list, and its title DCS World only supports gamepad, HOTAS and keyboard and mouse.
Will be available this fall and will include the following aircraft: F-15C Eagle, Su-27 Flanker B, Su-33 Flanker D, J-11 Flanker B+, MiG-29 Fulcrum A, MiG-29S Fulcrum C, A-10A Warthog, Su-25A Frogfoot, Su-25T Frogfoot, F-86F Sabre, MiG-15bis Fagot, F-5E Tiger II, MiG-21bis Fishbed L-39ZA.
